Welcome to the Muslims in Thailand Bibliography [MITB] Project website!
This was conceived and created by a small team working at Chulalongkorn University’s Centre of Excellence of Muslim Studies in Bangkok, and Prince of Songkhla’s Centre of Southeast Asian Maritime States Studies, in Pattani. At the beginning of every year, the MITB Project will provide and update of English language scholarship related to Thailand’s large, and diverse Muslim minority.
The MITB Project includes two complete bibliographies. Each consists of approximately 1,700 references. The first is organized alphabetically, while the second is a complete bibliography beginning with items published in 2023. Both these are searchable—as is the third, which is a topical bibliography.
In addition to these three bibliographies, this project also makes available the MITB RIS reference library here. Once downloaded, the RIS file can be imported into bibliography management software programs such as EndNote, Zotero, Mendeley, and RefWorks. We warmly recommend working with these amazing writing tools.
Some of the items in these bibliographies are available on the MITB google drive here. As these include surnames, initials, year (of publication), book/article title, and volume, issue, and page numbers (for journals), these have long file names -these items are downloadable-. Is not possible to search in the MITB google drive. Users will therefore need to locate the item(s) of interest by scrolling.
Our sincere hope is that the MITB Project will assist anyone and everyone sharing our interest in furthering the dynamic field of Muslim Studies in Thailand.
